Minecraft is a sandbox video game pioneered by Notch. The game is maintained by Mojang Studios and is part of the Microsoft Xbox game studio.
Almost all of the development of Minecraft was done by Notch from its inception until Jens Bergenstein joined and took charge of development. The game's music was composed by Daniel Rosenfeld and Lena Lehane, Christopher Zetterstrand drew the in-game art. The game was originally released as a Classic version on May 17, 2009, and a Java release on November 18, 2011. Minecraft's game platform encompasses desktop devices, mobile devices, and game consoles.
When Notch created Minecraft in 2009, he founded his own company, Mojang, with Jacob Pulzer, and Carl Mannehder joined Mojang as CEO. Notch founded Mojang because they wanted to continue developing Minecraft in their independent studio, rather than working on it in another company's studio. So when video game developer Valve asked them to join the company in September 2010, they turned it down. Within a year, the company had 12 employees, had completed the development of Cobalt, and had begun work on Scrolls. In 2011, Napster founder and Facebook president Sean Parker was interested in investing in Mojang but was turned down.
On May 16, 2020, Mojang officially announced a brand upgrade and the company changed its name to Mojang Studios. Mojang's CEO is now Jonas Mårtensson.
I really have became addicted to this game is i made lots of cool builds and i LOVED the wild update. Really recommend to play this game. The money is worth it.
